Hello
We are back from a wet and windy few days camping in Norfolk. It was certainly an experience! But it was good to get away and equally good to return to the safety (seriously) of our home.
We feel rested and ready to take on the next few months. It's hard to know what they will entail for all of us personally, and for MMB. But we will continue to do what every other small business is doing - keeping our fingers tightly crossed and carrying on as best we can. Credit: Richard Smith / @dickie_artwork
I've decided that from now on I am going to separate my catch ups with you into three separate emails. The first will be a weekly newsletter, like this one, simply telling you what bread and sweet treats we will be serving up at the shop, and when, for the week ahead. It will also include any other 'news' such as variations to opening times, new products on offer etc i.e. important information that you, as customers, need to know about the shop.
The second will be more of a casual, blog style update. These will be sporadic, and for those of you that like my ramblings when I want to share more personal or creative ramblings with you. For those of you not so interested in hearing about our experience camping in 40mph winds and rain like I've never known, or you'd rather not hear honest anecdotes about running a small business, you can simply press 'delete'.
The third will be sent out only to those of you that signed up to the Soil To Sourdough project so I can update you separately on developments at Duchess Farms. One of these updates will be coming out at the end of this week.
So with this is mind here is what we have on offer at MMB this week:
Thursday
Pre-orders only, available to collect between 11am and 3pm.
You can order Walden Whites, Heritage Grain Tins, Chocolate Babkas and Cinnamon Babkas. All of the above are limited in numbers so please get your orders in sooner rather than later to stand the best chance of bagging your wares.

Friday
Our usual free-for-all for walk ups. Open from 11am. We will have Walden Whites, Heritage Grain Tins, Rugbrød, Cinnamon Buns and...Sourdough Cookies are back!
Saturday
Again, open from 11am. Our special this week will be Olive & Herbs de Provence Sourdough. Plus Whites, Super Sours, Heritage Tins, White Tins, Rugbrøds, Babkas and more Sourdough Cookies on the counter.
I feel like we won't quite remember how to make all of the above and I'm sure I've probably forgotten something, but we'll give it a go and hopefully it'll come back to us just like riding a bike (I haven't ridden a bike in years and don't know if I actually have the faith in myself to ride one again anytime soon, but that's a blog post in the making I think. Not for now).
I hope you are all managing to enjoy the Bank Holiday. We look forward to seeing many of you back in the shop over the next few days and weeks.
