BAKERY SUPERVISOR
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Mini Miss Bread team supporting Megan and the baking team.
The Bakery Supervisor will be responsible for making sure the bakery is running as efficiently and effectively as possible, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times and supporting the baking team wherever needed.
Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working within independent food businesses and will be able to bring confidence, fresh ideas and enthusiasm to help us keep the bakery running smoothly and imaginatively.
The role will be a varied one and whilst the main duties of the position will be administrative/organisational we are keen to hear from people that are enthusiastic about getting involved in all aspects of the business and are happy to roll their sleeves up and get involved in the baking if needed (no experience in making sourdough is needed but an interest in learning is always a bonus).
There will also be some front of house shifts, including Saturdays, serving customers for which you will need to be friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about our produce.
There may also be the requirement to do some wholesale deliveries so a full, clean driving license will also be required.
The role will be a part time one initially (20 hours/wk approx.) with the potential to increase to full time depending on your skills and the future requirements of the business.
REQUIREMENTS:

Reliable, organised and self-motivated with the ability to work equally as well as part of a team as when working alone

Excellent organisational skills with an ability to find ways to improve and innovate systems to help with the smooth running of the business

An eagerness to work productively with a can-do, flexible attitude

Experience working in the independent food business industry

A keen interest in current bakery trends and the independent food business industry
-
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
-
Good verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Customer service experience

Good computer skills with proficiency in software like Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.

Punctuality and reliability, showing up on time and meeting deadlines

Experience or an interest in sourdough and baking advantageous, but not essential
